For those of you who didn't get to our showroom during the National Show, I wanted to make you aware of a 1/64th Case IH Magnum we're producing.
We are producing a 1/64th Magnum 305 with rear triples and front duals as a special "Spring 2010 Farm Show edition". Case IH will have a booth at both the Ag Connect 2010 show in Orlando, Florida, along with the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky.
2010 also marks the 25th Anniversary of Case IH. We're celebrating this anniversary by adding in some "red chrome" chase tractors into the production run. The picture below shows both versions of the tractors. This is stock # 14748A. Good luck in finding this.

New 1/32nd Case IH 9120 Tracked Combine
We've just received in the new 1/32nd Case IH 9120 Tracked Combine. This combine comes with a 16-row corn-head along with our existing grain head. I received quite a few questions at the National Farm Toy Show about why we didn't tool a bigger grain head. All I can tell you is that we are waiting to hear from our contacts at Case IH about this same subject.
As you can see from the pictures, I also want to highlight the new 1/32nd diecast grain cart we're tooling. Don't mistake this grain cart for the "mostly" plastic model we've had in the past. The entire frame and cart body of this unit is diecast and now features the "hole" hitch that works with the pins on our newer 1/32nd tractors.
If you want to do some serious combining, be sure to take a look at this great model.

New 1/64th Items being introduced today
Today we are announcing additional new 1/64th items.
#1. 1/64th Case IH and NH Big Square Balers. We've received many requests to produce a big square baler in 1/64th. We've had 1/32nd models in our line for a few years. We're finally able to announce the 1/64th versions as well. These will come out in the April/May 2010 timeframe.
#2. 1/64th Case IH Authentics 6088 combine. We've updated our 7088 combine to a 6088 model and also tooled a 8-row corn head for this unit.
Stop by the Ertl booth to see these new units.

It's "Show" Time
We're closing in on the National Farm Toy Show, and I'll be putting up some "sneak peeks" all week. I've already posted one out on toy talk, (1/64th JD 7130 w/2WD and mower). Now here's another new item.
1/64th JD 4760 w/rear duals and MFWD. Since we introduced the 3-pc set last year, I saw some complaints that those tractors only had single rear tires. We aim to fix that with some individual releases, this being the first. These workhorses are still in wide-spread use today, and I know there are some farm toy collectors waiting for a 4760.

New Case IH Offerings
I've got two new items from Case IH that I can talk to you about today.
Number one is our new 1/32nd Case IH 9120 Combine with tracks and 16-row cornhead. This is a great looking combine that has lots of features. This combine features new tooling for the upper body and feeder housing detail, along with the tracks and new corn head. We should start shipping these units in late November. If you're in Dyersville for the National Farm Toy Show, we'll have one on display.
Number two is a new 1/16th Case 830 Tractor. In 1960 Case unvieled the new "30" series tractors. For 2010, we felt it was a great time to celebrate the 50th Anniv. of these tractors. We'll also be showing this unit at the National Farm Toy Show.

Case IH Scout
If you haven't heard about it already, Case IH has just introduced a new off-road vehicle called the "Scout". (Great name by the way).
In the good old days of IH, they had a truck/SUV called the Scout. The picture above is John Wayne standing beside an old International truck.
The Scout is being produced for Case IH by Club Car. Better known for their golf carts, Club Car has expanded to other utility vehicle concepts. I believe they also make a Bobcat utility vehicle as well.
There will also be a version for New Holland which I believe is called the Rustler. Case IH and NH marketing came up with some great names for these vehicles in my opinion. Let me know what you think about these vehicles?

New John Deere Flyer
Find it out here first!!! The next Precision John Deere unit is an "R". For those of you familiar with the "R", it is known as the first JD tractor with a diesel engine. It was built for dry land farming, not row crop use, and had one of the largest two cylinder engines every built at that time.
When I look back, it's been over 20 years since Ertl has produced a 1/16th scale "R" tractor. I'll get some images posted soon to give you a better idea of our new replica.

Thanks for looking!!
Welcome everyone to Bill's Blog.
For those of you really interested in farm toys, I'll try to keep you up to date on all of the latest releases and news from Ertl.
We're literally less than a week away from announcing some new John Deere replicas, including the next Precision. We'll also be introducing some new "8R" replicas and a special collector edition of a tractor that is celebrating its 75th Anniv. in 2010. I'm sure you can guess what that is.
Enough for now, I need to go do some more toy testing.... (BTW, that's me on my 1st birthday!)
